Demand Justice for Jennifer Morbelli!
Late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart has botched another abortion, this time killing Jennifer Morbelli, a 29-year old kindergarten teacher, and her 33-week old preborn baby girl, Madison Leigh, on February 7, 2013. Every day he continues to operate, he puts more and more women and children at risk. Join us in asking the Maryland Board of Physicians to shut down Carhart’s late-term abortion mill.
UPDATE 4/23/13: The Maryland Board of Physicians finally accepted the more than 6,000 citizen complaints that were signed by this date. Your voices are being heard, we must continue to seek justice for Jennifer and Madison and the thousands of other women and children harmed or killed by Carhart until he is shut down for good!
On March 11th, we learned that the Maryland Board of Physicians has begun a preliminary investigation into Carhart, so it is more important than ever that we keep up the pressure on them to revoke his license.
Carhart must be stopped before he can kill again!
Dear Maryland Board of Physicians,
We, the undersigned, are filing a citizens complaint to support the February 19, 2013 official complaint against late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart, filed by Operation Rescue. We are asking for an immediate emergency suspension of his Maryland Medical License until his disciplinary case can be fully adjudicated and his license permanently revoked in light of the following allegations:
- Carhart was negligent in failing to diagnose Morbelli’s deteriorating condition, then abandoned her by leaving the state just hours before his suffering patient was rushed to the hospital where she later died. Efforts by family and hospital staff to contact Carhart were unsuccessful and further delayed her care.
- Carhart improperly performed the risky 33-week abortion in a outpatient clinic “without adequate emergency facilities to properly handle known complications and medical emergencies.” Also at issue is the lack of monitoring of his patient while prescribing her powerful uterine contracting drugs.
- The official complaint documents 13 violations of the Maryland Medical Practice Act and one violation of a criminal statute related to Second Degree Murder and can be read here.
